Derek and I am participating in the 12th annual TraX4 Breast Cancer ATV ride, a co-ed ATV event raising funds to help financially assist those diagnosed with breast cancer.  The proceeds from this event support the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation which over the past 22 years has been able to assist thousands of breast cancer patients across Canada thanks to the generosity of sponsors like you!

Did you know that a cancer diagnosis can carry an extra financial burden? It is commonly thought when someone is diagnosed with a serious disease that they are automatically taken care of financially by the government and that all costs associated with diagnosis/treatment/recovery are covered by public or private health care - this is NOT the case. This is where the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation can step in and offer financial assistance to those across Canada battling breast cancer so they can focus on recovery

The Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation is a registered Charity that helps financially assist breast cancer patients across Canada. This volunteer based charity helps provide assistance with items or services that are not covered by public or private medical plans so the patient can focus on their recovery. Some examples of financial assistance include (but are not limited to) helping purchase a wig, prosthetics, prescriptions and transportation to treatment, etc.
